maybe I've been hiding in my apartment too much or something....

but since when did Dongdaemun Stadium become Dongdaemun-hole-in-the-ground???

sure it was dirty and whatnot... but it was kind of iconic... afterall, there is a subway station named after it... will it undergo an identity change, like Prince... "The station formerly known as dongdaemun stadium"?

OMG Tom.....Just got back here after a year. yah Dongdaemun Stadium is gone. I guess it's Korea's grand plan to rid itself of it's identity.....sad.
Have you been to Paju lately? It use-to be a nice, close escape from the city. Now it's just a giant construction zone. The scenery, quaintness, and clean air replaced with cranes, cement trucks, and dust. Whats next? Rebuilding Namdaemun with a steel structure with neon lights?
