Hey! I have no real knowledge of Korean and I am not a PS major, but I do have an MA in English and a minor in History and have traveled around the world quite a bit. Really I would just like to make some friends--I just moved to Seoul a few weeks...

John Grisafi said… - 저는 이제까지 한국말을 5년쯤 배웠어요. 처음 2년동안 미국에 있는 외국어 대학 다니고 2년쯤 한국에서 일하고 살았어요. 그때에 한국친구 많이 사귀고 친구들이랑 주로 한국말로 얘기했어요. 또 한국어 통역관 자격 있어서 직장에서 뭐를 번역하고 한국 군대의 장군님과 다른사람한테 한국말로 브리핑 해줬어요. 요즘 미국에 있는데 아직도 진짜 한국인처럼 유창하게 말해돌 능력 늘고 싶어서 인터넷으로 한국사람들이랑 회화연습해요. 그리고 그냥 한국 정말 좋아해서 계속 한국친구 더 사괴고 싶어요.

It's great to hear from you. I live near Bucheon station but I often find myself in or near Gangnam. I'm glad you are patient he he because you'd have to be with me. I'm not really looking for a textbook teacher as a conversation partner...more like someone to just hangout with go to events, movies, lunch, or go exploring Seoul with! I like to learn languages the natural way through actual conversation and getting to know one another as friends. Be forwarned though...I can be very silly and random! I think its part of my charm, ha ha ^____^
