It's also common to give a reason.

we wanted to emphasize it's every weekend.. but also stress that you should come this weekend.. every weekend is kinda vague .. this weekend is specifically upcoming.. so basically we butchered the grammar to save some space ~~~

There is only 1 Saturday this weekend. Using "every" means this weekend, next weekend, the weekend after, etc...
